The Return of the Indolent Writer

Hey! I'm back. After a loooooooooooooooong time. I've been terribly lazy. I'll try to do better, though. Can't promise I will succeed but I will definitely try.

I have a holiday today because of elections and am doing what can vaguely be called Spring Cleaning. And here's how my boys have been helping me.

I turned out my entire wardrobe; got out some clothes from the suitcase and put in some others. The suitcase was really fat and I couldn't close it all the way. (Those are the moments when I regret losing the kilos!!!). Anyway, I was sitting on top of the suitcase trying to close it when Frodo came along and joined me. Of course, he didn't weigh enough to make up the difference, but I was grateful for the help regardless.

Sam helped me with the water bottles. I wanted to clean them thoroughly, so I filled them with washing liquid and hot water and left them alone for a while, following up with a rigorous scrub with a large, blue bottle brush. Sam leapt up and sat by the sink, observing me. Finally, he couldn't bear to see his mother scrubbing away hard with the bottle brush and decided to lend a hand.

Merry and Pippin have been helping out generally. They mostly helped with the cleaning of the balcony and the laying of their freshly laundered rug there for them to sit upon.

They are all very helpful boys. I've been doing this and that, and all four have been running around and falling over their paws to help me. Sometimes, I've almost fallen over their paws, but I look at it as sharpening of my reflexes!
